The UNO-City - a few impressions and facts

Officially it is called the Vienna International Centre and it is not part of Austria!

4HS visited the United Nations on the 14th of November. There are 193 member states.

We saw an exhibition of robots that were used on the moon expeditions. It was very interesting to hear all the information in English (which is one of the six official languages).

The atmosphere in the building was overwhelming. The main part was built in the 70ies and is using solar energy. 5000 people work in this complex which is like a little city.

The UNO won the Nobel Peace Prize (we saw the document).
