Sprachwoche 2009
Our time in Sidmouth
On Wednesday September 8th our class (3HS) met at Schwechat Airport and our adventure started. After a soft landing we went to Sidmouth by coach. We were rather excited when we arrived because we were going to meet our host families. We were lucky: They turned out to be very nice.
During the next ten days we improved our English in the Sidmouth International School, went on excursions to Dartmoor, Exeter and Plymouth, visited Europe’s biggest donkey sanctuary, a school for the bind and a school for the deaf, a fire station and a lifeboat station. We talked to a policeman, went fossilhunting near Lyme Regis, to the cinema, went bowling and played skittles… and in between had lots of fun on the beach and in the "Old Exchange”, our leisure centre. The weather was brilliant, our "leaders” were very funny and that helped a lot!
On Friday September 18th we came back to Vienna with a lot of stories, memories and souvenirs in our suitcases.
Thank you for the wonderful days!
